Domain Validation (DV)

Domain Validation (DV) or domain validation is the lowest verification process when carrying out verification which is useful for ensuring that the SSL Certificate orderer is the correct owner of the domain or at least can manage the domain that has been registered with the SSL Certificate. Validation of the domain will be required for each SSL Certificate product , both when ordering SSL Certificates of Organization Validation (OV) type and Extended Validation (EV) type. Organization Validation (OV)

Organization Validation (OV) or validation of the organization ordering the SSL certificate is a middle level validation process that will verify the domain and identity of the SSL certificate orderer as an organization or company. The verification process for this type of OV requires several supporting documents such as an organization’s license document to prove that the name of the organization matches the name that was registered when ordering SSL, as well as several other supporting documents such as telephone or internet billing or, as well as a bank account statement, which aims to ensure that the registered address is appropriate and also provides additional information to the certificate authority that the organization registered by the orderer has carried out organizational or company operations. Extended Validation (EV)

Extended Validation (EV) is the highest validation process for SSL Certificates. The EV type validation process requires verification of domain validation, validation of the company and final verification by telephone. When choosing an Extended Validation (EV) SSL Certificate product, it is hoped that the customer will be an organization or company that can include legal documents and other identification required as a requirement for the Extended Validation (EV) type verification process.
